MTNL retirees are also getting pension from government of India directly under rule 37. Hence, they too demand pension revision. A welcome feature is that all the leaders of MTNL staff Unions of Mumbai and Delhi and the Retired Officers Welfare Association of Delhi are united in demanding the pension revision with the fitment formula suggested by seventh Central Pay Commission.

On 22-3-2018, Sri Arvind Sawant MP of Shiv Sena, the founder leader of MTNL Kamgar Union of Mumbai, met Shri Manoj Sinha, Honourable minister for communications and discussed the issues of pay revision and pension revision in MTNL.

On 23-3-2018, on a directive from the minister, Smt. Aruna Sundararajan ITS, Secretary Telecom met leaders of MTNL staff union leaders of Mumbai and Delhi and the leaders of RTOWA Delhi. Of course, the main issue discussed was PAY revision in MTNL.

At the end, all the leaders unitedly raised the issue of Pension Revision, based on the report of Seventh CPC. According to Com. S S Nanda, GS of RTOWA Delhi, the Secretary was positive and assured favourable action in the matter.

We hail the correct stand taken by leaders of MTNL staff Unions of Mumbai and Delhi in demanding pension revision for MTNL retirees based on Seventh CPC report in unison with our demand. Our Shimoga comrades met the minister on 24-3-2018 and placed the same demand.

Myself G. S. Ajjappa, Secretary and K. K. Ganapathy, President, Shivamogga Branch - AI BSNL PWA along with 7 members of the association met Honourable minister for Communications  Shri Manoj Sinhaji on 24/3/2018 at Shivamogga.

We brought to the notice of MOSC our demand for Pension revision with  Fitment factor of 32% recommended by 7th CPC to be extended to 1.5 lakh BSNL IDA pensioners wef 1/1/2017. A memorandum for the same was also submitted to minister Manoj Sinhaji. He confirmed that he is well aware of this issue and is already under process. He accepted the memorandum and assured to address the grievances and will resolve positively.

Raman Kutty: SHIMOGA (KARNATAKA) COMRADES MEET MINISTER

 Today, a team of Shimoga members of AIBSNLPWA, led by Com. K K Ganapathy (District President) and Com. G S Ajjappa (District Secretary) met Shri Manoj Sinhaji, Minister for Communications, at Shivmogga and submitted a memorandum reiterating our demand for pension revision with effect from 1-1-2017 with fitment benefits recommended by Seventh Central Pay Commission.

The Minister informed the delegation that he is quite aware of the issue and it is under active consideration of the DoT. He assured a positive approach towards the matter.

Dear Comrades,
In connection with the forthcoming CWC meeting to be held in RGM TTC Chennai on 16th and 17th April, a formation committee meeting was held in Chennai on 23rd at 1600 hrs. TN Circle association will host the CWC meeting. Com.V.Ramarao, TN Circle President presided over the meeting and Com.K.Muthiyalu TN.Circle Secretary conducted the  proceedings. The meeting was attended by the following leaders:- Comrades D.Gopalakrishnan, CHQ Vice President, G.Natarajan GS, Munusamy ChTD District President, Thangaraj- ChTD District Secretary, Kannappan , ChTD District Treasurer, C.Krishnamurthy- ChTD ACS, Sampathkumar -Annanagar Secretary, M.Govindarajan Ex District Secretary ChTD A.Sugumaran- TN Circle VP,
R.Govindarajan- TN Circle VP, D.S.Ramalingam- STR Div.Secretary,  Sundarakrishnan, Victorraju, Mydeenpillai,Sivasankaran,Sridharan, Yagasundaram, N.Mohan, T.V.Parameswaran, Sridharan,  etc attended the meeting.

Com.K.Muthiyalu who had just returned after a meeting with Jt.CCA, told that Pension revision for 8000 DOT Retirees has been done and sent to the respective banks. If any DOT retiree has not received the revised pension orders, they can approach CCA office with PPA Number and LPD particulars. 78.2% arrears works are nearing end and only for 200 cases are pending.
For the smooth conduct of CWC meeting successfully 6 committees such as Reception, Accommodation, Transport, Food, Stage,  Decoration ,Medical aid committees were formed. ChTD leaders told that they would give sufficient man power to all committees and the rest will be filled by volunteers from STR and Chennai Traffic Divisions. 
GS narrated briefly about his meeting with DOT and BSNL officers in Delhi during his recent visit there with Com.DG.
The next joint meeting will be convened on 6th April and the venue and time will be intimated later. All comrades present took active participation in the meeting. Biscuits and Tea were supplied.Com.Muthiyalu gave the Vote of Thanks.

Com.K.Palanimuthu, Retired SDE TN Circle Office Chennai, has got his 78.2%IDA Arrears very late, after a hectic struggle. Knowing the continuous efforts by our Association, he has voluntarily given Rs.2000/-  Donation to our STR Division as well as Rs.1000/- separately to our TN Circle Association, directly to our CIRCLE Secretary, in person, at our meeting on 13th March, 18. We are very much thankful to him for his gratitude.

Many of our comrades wanted STR Division Secretary's address to post the copy of Pension Adalat grievance. For them, the address is given.

Dear Comrades,
As per the request of CHQ requesting all members to donate Rs 50/- for the smooth conduct of our ensuing All India Conference at Puri on 22nd and 23rd of September 2018. Accordingly our members have donated very enthusiastically. A list of about 142 has been posted here. Other members who have not given the donation of Rs 50/- are here by requested to pay it immediately. Our April month meeting will be conducted on 20th April Friday as Annual General Body Meeting. Those who have not given the Donation are requested to give the amount on the meeting itself. If they could not come for the meeting, they can very well send the amount through any of their friend who would attend the meeting. The entire amount @ Rs 50/- per member should be remitted to CHQ Treasurer on or before 30-04-2018.

ஒரிஸ்ஸா தோழர்கள் நமது அகில இந்திய மாநாட்டினை இந்த ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் மாதம் 22 மற்றும் 23 தேதிகளில் நடத்தலாம் என்று அறிவித்துள்ளனர். சென்ற இதழ் பென்ஷனர் பத்திரிக்காவில் நம் CHQ தலைவர் தோழர் P.S. ராமன்குட்டி கூறியுள்ளபடி ஒரு சிறிய மாநிலமான ஒரிஸ்ஸா மிக குறைந்த அளவு எண்ணிக்கை உள்ள நம் உறுப்பினர்கள் , இருந்த போதிலும் மிக துணிச்சலுடன் மிகவும் சாமர்த்தியமாக அகில இந்திய மாநாட்டினை கோவில் நகரமான பூரியில்  நடத்தும் பொறுப்பினை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டிருப்பது மிகவும் பாராட்டுதலுக்கு உரியது. இந்த பூரி மாநாடு புகழ் வாய்ந்த பெரிய நிறுவனமான நம் AIBSNLPWA வெற்றி பயணத்தில்   ஒரு மைல் கல்லாக அமையும் என்பதில் எந்த விதமான சந்தேகமும் இல்லை.

இந்த அ .இ மாநாடு ஒரு வெற்றி மாநாடாக நடைபெற நாம் எல்லோரும் ஒரிசா தோழர்களுக்கு துணை நிற்க கடமை பட்டுள்ளோம். இது மிகவும் சாதாரணமாக நம்மால் எளிதாக செய்ய இயலும். ஒவ்வொரு சங்கத்தினரும் ஆயுள் கால உறுப்பினராக இருந்தாலும் சரி , ஆண்டு சந்தா செலுத்தும் உறுப்பினராக இருந்தாலும் சரி , ஒவ்வொரு உறுப்பினரும் ரூ 50/- ஐ மாநாட்டு நிதியாக உடனடியாக அளித்தால் போதும் . கிளை / மாவட்ட செயலர்கள் அந்த நிதியினை பெற்று CHQ  கணக்கில் சேர்த்து விடவும். CHQ இந்த நிதியை தனியாக வைத்துக்கொள்ளும். மாவட்ட நிர்வாகங்கள் தங்கள் மாவட்ட நிதியிலிருந்து CHQ விற்கு ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 30 தேதிக்குள் அனுப்பிவிட்டு பிறகு உறுப்பினர்களிடம் இருந்து பெற்றுக்கொள்ளலாம் . 
அவ்வாறு எல்லா மாவட்டங்களிடமிருந்து பெறப்படும் நிதியை , ஏப்ரல் மாதம் ஏற்படுத்தப்படும் வரவேற்பு கமிட்டியிடம் CHQ அளிக்கும் . வரவேற்பு கமிட்டி ஏற்படுத்திய பின் மாநாட்டிற்கான பணிகள் மிக துரிதமாக நடைபெறும்.
மாவட்ட நிர்வாகிகளே தயவு செய்து அடுத்த அறிவிப்பிற்கு காத்திராமல் , மாவட்ட நிதியிலிருந்து CHQ  நிதிக்கு உடனடியாக தொகை அனுப்பி விட்டு தகவலை உரிய விபரங்களுடன் CHQ பொருளாளர் தோழர் விட்டோபன் அவர்களுக்கு அனுப்பவும். அந்த தகவல்களை தொகைக்கான பட்டியல்களை இனிவரும் பென்சனர் பத்திரிக்கையில் வெளியிடப்படும். இந்த முடிவுகள் சமீபத்தில் பாட்னாவில் நடைபெற்ற அகில இந்திய காரிய கமிட்டியில் ( CWC ) எடுக்கப்பட்டது.

Our com.R.Bhaskaran, AGM (Retd), TN Circle has become  a proud Grand pa. His daughter Sow.Vishnupriya has given birth to a female child on 21/02/2018 in Wisconsin USA. This child birth has happened after 10 years of her marriage. We wish them a happy and healthy future.

எங்கும் புதுமை !, எதிலும் புதுமை !!, இதுவே நம் STR கோட்ட சங்கத்தின் செயல்பாடு . நேற்று நடைபெற்ற மகளிர் தின விழா அன்று கடவுள் வாழ்த்துப்பாடல் கூட BSNL பெருமையினை பறை சாற்றும் பாடலாக எல்லோர் மனத்திலும் நீக்கமற நிறைந்து நின்றது. நாம் ஓய்வுபெற்று விட்டாலும் நம் ஓய்வூதியர் மனங்களில் BSNL நின்று நிலவுகிறது என்பதற்கு இப்பாடலே சாட்சி .

Today, second Tuesday the 13th March, International women's day was  celebrated. The meeting started at 3-00 PM. Com. A Sugumaran presided over , Divl.Secy Com.D.S.Ramalingam welcomed all. One minute silence was observed for our departed comrades and some notable personalities. Last month's minute was read by com. sridharan. Birthday wishes and Family welfare info were given by Com.N Mohan. President announced that our Annual General Body will be conducted on 20-04-2018, Friday at 2-30 PM. and invited all to attend the AGB meeting without fail.
Then the stage was made over to women section. The events were fully and effectively administered by our lady comrades. Com.Subbulakshmi presided over the events. Com.V.Latha was the chief guest, Who delivered a heart touching speech was the high light of the function. 
All the women comrades were honoured with towels. Special SK and Tea were supplied. Chocolates were also distributed to all. A novel welcome with Roses was offered to all women.
Vote of thanks was given by Com.Sundarakrishnan. He informed that 7 new members have joined our association this month and 110 members including 28 ladies had attended the meeting. This day wud linger in the memory of all for a long and long period.
