 REPORT FROM OUR ALL INDIA GENERAL SECRETARY COM V. VARAPRASAD RAO ABOUT OF TN CIRCLE VELLORE CONFERENCE

The Tamil Nadu Circle Conference of the All India BSNL Pensioners’ Welfare Association (AIBSNLPWA) was held on 4th and 5th October 2025 at Vellore. The conference was presided over by Com. Saminathan. 

The Open Session was inaugurated by Com. K. Muthiyalu. CHQ leaders Com. D. Gopalakrishnan (CHQ President), Com. V. Vara Prasad (General Secretary), Com. R. S. N. Murthy (CHQ Vice President), Com. T. S. Vittoban, Com. P. Venugopal, Com. Arunachalam, Com. Jayaraman, Com. Latha, Com. Rathna, and Com. Olly (Circle Secretary, Chennai Phones) Com V Rama Rao (Circle Advisor)  shared the dais. 

CHQ President and General Secretary elaborated on all major issues — including Present status of Pension Revision, Validation Act, Next AIC, Financial Discipline, and the need for unity. 

Smt. Gowtami Balasri, Joint CCA, Tamil Nadu, in her detailed and informative address, spoke about the status on issues such as the extra increment case, 78.2% fitment, family pension settlement, and Last Pay Drawn (LPD) implementation. She informed that a communication from DoT, New Delhi is expected shortly. She emphasized the importance of creating login credentials in SAMPANN for all 51,000 pensioners in Tamil Nadu and urged 24,000 migrated pensioners to complete KYP (Know Your Pensioner) formalities for EPPO generation. She appreciated the proactive cooperation and support extended by AIBSNLPWA to the CCA office.

GM, BSNL Vellore and NFTE Circle Secretary conveyed greetings to the conference and lauded the sustained efforts of the Association in serving the pensioner community.

The conference recorded participation of 358 delegates, 168 observers, 20 District Secretaries, 35 Circle Office Bearers, 9 CHQ Office Bearers, and large number of members from Vellore.

Elections were conducted in a cordial and democratic atmosphere, and all office-bearers were elected unanimously. The newly elected team comprises:

Com. R. Venkatachalam – Circle President

Com. S. Sundara Krishnan – Circle Secretary

Com. Perumal Raja – Circle Treasurer

The Vellore District team deserves special appreciation for their excellent arrangements, disciplined organization, and warm hospitality, which contributed greatly to the grand success of the event.
