The Monthly meeting of our STR Division was held by 1500 hours of 09.04.2019 at TANSTIA HALL ,Guindy under the presidentship of our District President Com.A.Sugumaran. Com.D.S.Ramalingam Vice President read out the minutes of Previous meeting.with a correction the minute got approved.Com.S.Sundarakrishnan welcomed all.He told about the settlement of the IT recovery for the half pay leave taken for the shortfall of EL towards the leave cashment (case of Com.Sethuraman).Our CHQ got the generalised order pursuing with BSNL CO.Our thanks to CHQ.Regarding Medical payment in TN Circle, on 8th April TN Circle got 4.5 crore allotment towards medical bill /medical allowance payment.Payments are being made since 8th.April.First 2 qtrs of Med. allowance 2018-19 and some medical bill will be cleared within this week.STR has sent payment to bank for medical bills and allowance for left out persons.CAO STP  told all bills  got cleared.Chennai TD allowance and some of the bills got cleared.CCA chennai commenced direct Pension to those who retired from Feb.19 onwards.Message delivery to individual pensioners thro.SAMPAN  is not proper due to initial problem.Life Certificate for Medical MRS CARD has to be sent by post to SDE welfare first floor O/ o CGMT TN Circle Greams road Chennai 6 or in person before this month end. .This is only in case of TN CIRCLE retirees not STP/STR..Family News.1.Com.Jayakanthi has been blessed with a Grand daughter at USA.2.Com.S.Uma VRS DE DTC Flower bazaar has been blessed with a Grand daughter at Bangalore. 3.Com.B.Sampooranam retd DE FC STR Chennai  has celebtrated his SON's marriage  Mr.Sriram with Sow.Neelaayadakshi on 31.3.19.4.Com.G.Krishnan (retd DE STR Chennai) has clelebrated his Grand Son's First Birthday on 7th April.5.Com.Joseph retd from VFT STR has clelebrated House Warming Ceremoney in a grand manner at Vyasarnagar on 06.04.19.6.Dr.Vincent PrakshRaj grand Son of Com.Victor Raj has completed his MBBS Degree and emerges as Doctor. Our good wishes to all of them above. COM.Ravi retd AGM STR our ADS underwent eye surgery.It is also painful to mention our Comrade .Sri.B.Nagarajan retd DE STR Chennai has been hospitalised at Mercury hospital snd in ICU.we pray for speedy recovery.2.Our Senior comrade .Sri.T.Balakrishnan (TBK ) has been hospitalised at SIMS Hospital Vadapalani for heart valve replacement. Surgery likely on 10th.We pray for normalcy. New members joined. 1.Smt.PremaSairam OS TN CO. TOTAL Membership is 1006. Com.A.Sugumaran in his speech told thatExtra increment case came for hearing on 3rd April.Our lawyer argued well.As the DOT lawyer pleaded for hearing as they are  waiting for clarrification the case is adjourned to 24th April.It is hopefully beleived that final decision may come on 24th Hearing.Outside the court the DOT Lawyer said to our lawyer that they are in our favour.Regarding Pension ,our CBMA leaders met Joint Secy.Pension and requested to send reminder to DOT for Pension revision during March.Dept of Pension also send a note to DOT.Subsequently they approached DOT also.The bureaucrats in DOT are having the opinion that BSNL Pensioners are getting higher pension even now.This is due to IDA fixation during 1.10.2000.So,they are not in favour of sending the pension revision proposals in a proper way  to Dept. of Pension.Regarding Pension revision ,our CBMA leaders met Joint Secy.Pension and requested to send reminder to DOT for Pension during March.Dept of Pension also send a note to DOT.Subsequently they approached DOT also.,we will have to see that  hike due to IDA fixation during absorbtion  should not be reduced.Our CBMA leaders thought that IDA Pension revision as per the fitment of 7TH CPC can be achieved by approaching court.They explore all possibilities of approaching senior supreme court lawyers .We will have to wait till formation of new Government. Approaching the court is only a final resort.CEC at Kumbakonam also took a decision that we have to wait for the new ministry formation and approach them.Then only legal approach has to be decided.Com.K.Muthialu Dy.GS in his speech told that salary for FEB  was disbursed to BSNL Employees after 15days.TV Media and newspapers broad casted about the bad condition of BSNL . There were several news about VRS ,reduction of retirement age etc.Now,PMO Office decided about 4G spectrum allotment,reducing employees by VRS.Serving unions were not consulted.No talks about their 3rd PRC pay revision.We never asked about delinking of pension  revision from pay revision.It was their demand.We are asking for 7th CPC Fitment not for 3rd PRC.However .we are hopeful of getting our Pension Revision after the formation of new Government.Com.Sankarasubramanian retd PS STR Chennai gave medical tips on Iyarkai Vaithiyam.He insisted the values of using normal items sold in Nattu Marunthukadai.His speech was very much useful and he can be given time frequently in our meetings to get more information.Com.Kannan retd SDE KARUR has compiled Kavithai Thoguppu and printed as a book in the name of " எண்ணச் சிதறல்கள் “ under 4 chapters having 69 Kavithai. Com.R.Kannan has composed and prepared the book and the book was released by Com.K.Muthialu Dy.GS.Com A.Sugumaran,Com.D.S.Ramalingam and Com.K.Muthialu appreciated his Kavithai Nayam.Com.Kannan gave acceptance speech.It is his first book.Earlier ,dutring 2010 he released CD containing 12 songs about 6 Divyadesam.He distributed the books to all paricipants.Money received from our comrades towards  the cost of the book Rs 50. has been paid to our Association as donation.All the poems are very nice .We sincerely wish him to have success on his effort.Com.L.Krishnamurthy delivered vote of thanks.Around 105 members attended the meeting.Com.Vinayaga Sundaram retd DGM F TN CO donated Rs 1000,Com.D.Victor Raj retd SDE STR donated Rs 1500 towards sweets served .,Com.Krishnamurthy donated Rs 500  com.K.Radhakrishnan Retd DGM TNC donated Rs 1000 Com.R.Kannan donated Rs 2150 towards the sale of book.Sweet and snacks coffee were served .It has been decided not to have meeting during May  19.

Our next Monthly  Meeting will be on 11th June at Guindy .
