OBITUARY

It is very shocking  and sad  to inform  that our Comrade. Shri R.SHABI  DGM (MM) O/o CGM TN Circle Chennai  retired on 30.6.2014,  passed away today (20-05-2019 ) in early hours  at his residence in Medavakkam. His family members have  decided to perform final rites at his native place MANGALAM near Tiruppur tomorrow morning by 0900AM. He is a JE Recruit of Bangalore Telephones and maximum service rendered at Coimbatore SSA. He adorned  always  a smiling face. I got the news just now and confirmed it through his friend. Really it is shocking. On behalf of all our comrades, I pray the Almighty to keep his Soul Rest in Peace. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved members of his family.

Dear Comrades,

Due to implementation of SAMPANN, pension payments are directly made by CCA to those who retired since 28.02.2019.  Advantage of this is Pension is paid promptly on the 1st day of next month. Settlements are done within 20 days. PPO Sheet (no book) is  sent directly .They have to take printout. Hard copies will be sent up to few months .In due course of time hard copies will not be sent. These are all for superannuation retirees. I requested to implement the similar status for VRS and death cases also. When I was at CCA Office, one of the female pensioners retired during APRIL came showing that she has been shown as MALE GENDER instead of FEMALE. In the PPO, Corrections cannot be done at CCA level. It has to be sent to HQRS and they only correct. If DATA feeding is done at BSNL in SAMPANN software individual can check the spelling and correctness of data. BSNL is not feeding data in SAMPANN  Software. So, comrades who retired since 28.2.2019 are requested to check all your data in PPO. In case of any correction needed, please inform AO CCA OFFICE. They will get it corrected within 3days. I told hard copies are not received by some of the retirees of February like com. MANIMEGALAI. He assured that he would  sort out the issue.

Dear Comrades,

As per the discussion had with the Office of CCA Chennai, no instruction received from DELHI when to take over direct pension payment to existing pensioners. Hence no direction is issued to Bank authorities by CCA Tamilnadu. In case if any bank requests the pensioners to submit their PPO Book  ,comrades are requested NOT to  give their original Pension book to bank authorities.

All CPPCs should have one original PPO Book. At the time of direct payment of Pension they will surrender their PPO books to CCA.  So, comrades are requested to consult our Association in case if any body requests to surrender the PPO Book.
