Our Member Com M.S. Ragini, (Retd DGM, TN CNI), daughter Sow: V. Sharanya's marriage with Chi: N. Shanmugapriyan was held on today 30-8-18 morning at S S Kalyana Mahal T. Nagar in a grand manner. Com Sundarakrishnan and Narasimhan attended the Marriage and conveyed their best wishes to the newly married couple.

KAMARAJ Section Supervisor Phones O/o CGMT TN Circle  Greams Road Chennai-6 is retiring due to superannuation on 31.8.2018.He is a Circle President of NFTE BSNL TN Circle and also a  Federation Secretary of NFTE BSNL CHQ. When the necessity arises, our AIBSNLPWA is second to none in extending the helping hands. Secretary of STR Division Com. S. Sundarakrishnan has requested all our members to send the KERALA FLOOD RELIEF FUND to our STR DIVISION BANK ACCOUNT.  The total amount collected for this fund reached  Rs.51250/- upto date.  

Yes, AIBSNLPWA STR Division Chennai has sent Rs 51,250/- to AIBSNLPWA Kerala Circle TODAY. Already it had sent Rs 10,000/- as first instalment. Totally it has sent Rs 61,250 in two instalments. 


2% CDA RAISE FOR CENTRAL GOVT. EMPLOYEES AND PENSIONERS
Cabinet approves additional 2 percent Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1st July, 2018 

The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modihas approved to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 01.07.2018 representing an increase of 2% over the existing rate of 7% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise.

The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both Dearness Allowance and Deamess Relief would be Rs.6112.20 crore per annum and Rs.4074.80 crore in the financial year 2018-19 (for a period of 08 months from July, 2018 to February, 2019).

This will benefit about 48.41 lakh Central Government employees and 62.03 lakh pensioners.

This increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

CHTD ORDER FOR BSNLMRS OPTION
BSNL CHTD CIRCLE has issued an order today regarding BSNLMRS OPTION from pensioners. According to it pensioners who want to continue in their old option given last year,  need not give fresh option for this year.  Those who want to change from with voucher to without voucher  or without voucher to with  voucher only can give option to their respective units.  if no option is received from any pensioner then it will be automatically considered that they want to continue in their existing option given last year. 

BSNL CHTD has mentioned in its order itself clearly that it has taken this decision as per our AIBSNLPWA CHTD Circle Association's Chennai-48 request. Really It is a great recognition from BSNL CHTD  shown to our AIBSNLPWA CHTD CIRCLE ASSOCIATION.

21-8-18: Tuesday: 17.00 Hrs:  Com Sundarakrishnan and Narasimhan has gone to CCA OFF today and handed over 200 KYP FORMS of our members and got acknowledgement from them.  We have handed over the forms, typed list, and soft copy of the list.  They immediately uploaded our soft copy of the list from our pen drive to their computer. KERALA FLOOD RELIEF FUND
Our STR DIVISION has donated Rs.10,000/- to Kerala Flood relief Fund as first instalment. In addition to this our members Com A. Srinivasan, retd AGM, CHTD CNI has given Rs.5000/-, Com A. Rajiah retd DGM, STR has given Rs.5000/-, Com S. Meena, retd PS TN CNI has also given rs.1000/- for Kerala Flood Relief Fund.

BRIEF REPORT ABOUT STR DIVISON MONTHLY MEETING 14-8-2018
  The meeting was presided by Com.A.Sugumaran Dist.President. A large gathering of 207 members attended the meeting.One minute  Silence was observed for the  demise of Sri.M.Karunanidhi Ex Chief Minister of Tamilnadu and Sri.Sonath chatterji Ex.Loksabha speaker /CPI(M) leader.  Minutes of the previous meeting was read by Dist.Treasurer Com.N.Mohan .   Com.S.Sundarakrishnan Welcomed all .In his speech he  thanked all the 150 comrades who participated in the Dharna. Reg.Medical allowance payment :Tamilnadu Circle has cleared payment of 3rd and 4th qtr of 2017-18.Medical reimbursement payment is pending for a long time  for want of fund.STR has released payment of 3rd and 4th quarter last week.Chennai TD  payment is made for 3rd qtr and fund expected for 4th qtr.STP circle medical allowance  payment already made.Medical allowance orders issued for 2 qtrs of 2018-19 reducing the ceiling limit and keeping min. limit as 12000 p.a .In respect of TN circle and STR ,no fresh option need to be given if they want to continue as of 2017-18..Option in the form of normal letter is sufficient for change of medical facility . In STP circle option to be excersised as per the wats app posting.Reg.CH.TD .our office bearers of chennai TD met GM finance on 13th and told him not to insist for fresh option for medical claim.GM F told that he will consult Area DGMs and inform.District Secy requested the pensioners  to have the pension account as ERS/joint account.He also explained the detais about 21st July Hindu publication of Dept of Pension.He thanked Com.Narasimhan,Arumugam,Com.L.Krishnamurthy, A.Srinivasan Com.Mohan ,Com.Muthialu and Com.H.S.Sudha for their efforts in enrolling new members during the current month.New members enrolled during the month is     38 and the total membership is 872   .He also mentioned the settled issues.Com.Muthialu ex- Circle Secretary has taken steps to resolve the LPD issues of phone Mechanics like com.Venugopal. com.Narasimhan ADS introduced new members and welfare activities of our members.Bharatha nattiya Arangetram of Preethi Narayan, Grand daughter of our member Com D. S.  ramalingam was held at Roswell Cultural Arts center, Atlanta, USA on 5-8-2018 in a grand manner . He also guided about KYP application filling up,required documents.As a first phase 148 KYP applications submitted to CCA.He has taken efforts in collecting KYP form and issued forms to those who have not submitted.National  adalat is propsed on 18th Sep and who wants to give their grivances,the last date is 268.2018. Com.A.Sugumaran,R.Govindarajan, Muthialu ,D.Victorraj,Sridharan,S.Sundarakrishnan and com. R.Venkatachalam were honoured.Com.Mallika retd from the pension sec.of GM STR Chennai told that DOT pension revision payment was done twice .Some might not have known znd they are requested to approach CCA.Com. A.Sugumaran ,our president told initially order was such  BSNL  has to prepare the revision  of pension for option 1 and the dispute between BSNL and CCA in Chennai  was settled only due to pursuation of our Assn. Com.Muthialu in his speech told that pensioners need not be in hurry of submission of KYP form as this is only for data verification with the data available with CCA office. This can be given till Nov 18.By direct payment of pension by cca ,Govt. can save multiple crores of rupees being paid to bank/POs.In the Trichy conference he himself voluntarily not taken any portfolio as he is an org.Secretary in All India.He will continue to serve the Members irrespective of post.He also told Dist Secy has to arrange addl chairs. .Circle Secretary Com.R.Venkatachalam in his speech :He feels immense pleasure of addressing his first meeting in the branch where com.Muthialu is a member.He beleives that  the newly elected office bearers of this branch  will assist him .He mentioned about 20th Aug ,the formation Day of our Association.He mentioned elaborately about Circle confrence at Trichy.Achievements of our association in 78.2 IDA merger. Our demand of pension revision as per 7th CPC.and court case for Pension as LPD instead of average 10  months salary for pre 2006 IDA pensioners.He told that Com.A.Sugumaran has not taken post in the circle conf. for paving the way to the new comers.CS told that he will always take the guidance of com.A.Sugumaran.Vote of Thanks conveyed  by Com.D.Victorraju VP.  Thanking you.    Comradely urs  S.Sundarakrishnan Dist.Secretary.

Our Trichy Circle Conference was held in a grand manner and was a great success. It was restricted and concluded 7-8-18 Tuesday itself due to unavoidable circumstances. Comrade V. Ramarao was elected as President,  Comrade Venkatachalam was elected as Secretary, and our member Comrade Kalidoss was elected as Treasurer.  The following members of our STR DIVISION were also elected as office bearers.
