Update on Pension Revision Case :

Our Lawyer has informed us that  

"  Court master gave date of 27.11.2024 stating that bench won't be able to take up the matter today. We mentioned the matter for the shortest possible date. Central Government stated that it did not want a short date if the contempt proceedings are stayed. We objected to stay of contempt proceedings and stated that matter has been heard substantially and therefore shortest possible date should be given. 

In view of the above Court was pleased to adjourn the matter to 04.09.2024 at 3:30 pm as requested by us. "

DOT's appeal against Principal CAT DELHI Court's judgement hearing is coming today in High Court New Delhi.

பிரின்சிபல் CAT டெல்லியின் தீர்ப்பை எதிர்த்து டெல்லி ஹைகோர்ட்டில் DOT தொடர்ந்த அப்பீல் இன்று விசாரணைக்கு வருகிறது.

 New Delhi High Court has adjourned DOT's PENSION REVISION CASE APPEAL to 23-8-24. The contempt case filed by us in New Delhi Principal CAT hearing is coming tomorrow

சற்றுமுன் கிடைத்த தகவல்: டெல்லி உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் நடைபெற்ற நமது பென்ஷன் ரிவிஷன் வழக்கு வரும் 23ந்தேதிக்கு ஒத்திவைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. டெல்லி பிரின்சிபல் நீதிமன்றத்தில் DOT மீது நாம் தொடுத்த நீதிமன்ற அவமதிப்பு வழக்கு நாளை விசாரனைக்கு வருகிறது.

 

 Update on Proceedings Today in High Court Delhi on Pension Revision Case

1. As you are aware, the matter was listed as Items 52 to 54 today before Honourable Judges Sri Kait and  Sri  Kathpalia.

2. Sri Ghosh appeared on our behalf. Sri Chetan Sharma, briefed by Sri Kirtiman Singh, appeared on behalf of the Central Government.

3. Arguments were addressed at length by both sides.

4. The Bench directed both sides to file written submissions and a compilation of documents which they wish to rely on.

5. The matter was adjourned to 8th August at 3 pm for further arguments.

6. Our lawyers will prepare  submissions on our behalf.

அன்புக்குரிய தோழர்களே, வணக்கம். கேரள மாநிலம் வயநாடு பகுதியில் தொடர் கனமழை காரணமாக அடுத்தடுத்து ஏற்பட்ட  நிலச்சரிவில் முண்டகை, மேட்டுப்பட்டி, சூரல்மலை உள்ளிட்ட 3 பகுதிகளில் இருந்த வீடுகள் மண்ணில் புதைந்த நிலையில் ஏராளமானவர்கள் மாயமாகி உள்ளனர். 1000க்கும் அதிகமானவர்கள் நிலச்சரிவில் சிக்கி உள்ளனர். அவர்களை தேடும் பணியின்  300 க்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் இதுவரை  பலியாகி உள்ளனர். மற்றவர்களை தேடும் பணி நடந்து வருகிறது. 

ஒரே நாளில் 57 செமீ க்கும் மேலான மழை கொட்டித்தீர்த்ததால் ஏற்பட்ட பேரிடரில் சிக்கித் தவிக்கும் மக்களை மீட்கும் பணியிலும்   நிவாரண பொருட்கள் சேகரித்து வழங்கும் நடவடிக்கையிலும் நமது கேரள தோழர்களும்  முழுமையாக ஈடுபட்டு வருகின்றனர். 

பேரிடரில் சிக்கித் தவிக்கும் மக்களுக்கு உதவி செய்ய வேண்டியது நமக்கும் கடமையாகும். நமது அகில இந்திய செயலாளர் நன்கொடை கோரி வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்துள்ளார். மல்லபுரம், கோழிகோடு மாவட்டத்தில் ஏற்பட்டுள்ள துயர் மனதால் தாங்க இயலாது.  Our our circle secretary's letter to principal controller of communication accounts Tamil Nadu circle Chennai 28. Sir,  sub: Non credit of pension/family pension for the month of July 2024 regarding: -  Good morning. We are constraint to bring to your notice that pension for the month of July was credited to  only a few during the forenoon of 31st July and subsequently from the night and today morning. Still a lot of grievances are received from various parts of state regarding the non receipt of pension as of now. We infer the pension is credited to only a partial Quantum of pensioners. We and CCA units are well aware that the pension bill was sent to SBI Hyderabad for payment of pension well in advance. Our our responsibility ends only when the entire pensioner gets credit of pension for whom the pension is drawn at least on the last working day. The reason for the delay is unknown. There is no communication for the delay to feed the information through WhatsApp to pensioners. we requested earlier to arrange pension payment 2 days earlier as being followed in other CCA units. Even now UP WEST credited on 26th July, Karnataka, AP CCAs has creditd pension on 29 July. They are also governed by the guidelines of CGCA. TN circle is having 52000 pensioners. Definitely any sort of technical problems developed in server like server choking, telecom traffic congestion for data transmission will lead to delay. This is unavoidable. In anticipation of all these and to overcome this constraints, we request you to kindly make arrangements to credit pension 2 days head of the last working day. Most of  the pensioners are habituated to receive pension 4 days ahead when it was paid by CPPC .  STR STP pensioners outside Tamilnadu are yet to receive and their colleagues at Karnataka circle, AP circle received 3 days ahead. Our request is to No.1. Kindly ensure the left out pension credit by server Hyderabad, may be completed by today afternoon itself by coordinating with with SBI. No.2. The delayed pension payment for JULY 2024 is due to ransomeware virus which affected transaction of 300 banks. We ensure that pension payment from August will be advanced by a day or 2 days before the last working day. We will give utmost priority to Pensioners and Pension payment. With regards  -   jtcca

 A SPECIAL APPEAL

Dear Friends,

You are all aware of the dreadful disaster occurred in Wayanad district, Kerala on 30-7-2024. The landslides and flash floods that swept through have devastated a part of the district, causing unprecedented deaths and destruction. Over 300 people are dead and many more are missing. Entire villages, houses, schools buildings, roads and bridges have been obliterated. But the tragedy at Wayanad is bigger than the sum total of the dead and missing people and the devastation. It was a tsunami in the hills which, in a few hours, turned a tourist paradise into a graveyard.

Army, Air force, Navy, NDRF and thousands of volunteers are working day and night to rescue people in distress. Clothes and materials are flowing from nearby Calicut and Malappuram districts to the disaster land. Religion or Politics is not a barrier for relief work. People stood together to face the calamity. More than 8000 people are in Relief Camps.  More than 450 injured are being treated in hospitals.

Rehabilitation of the survivors is the urgent need. It is very costly. We members of AIBSNLPWA all over India must rise to the occasion, keeping our tradition. CHQ of AIBSNLPWA has sent a sum of Rs. One lakh to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund as token of our commitment.  CHQ calls upon our members to donate liberally to the Kerala CMDRF through your respective District Association.

Please hand over or transfer your donation to your District Unit.  The District Unit should remit entire amount so received to Kerala CMDRF with due intimation to CHQ Treasurer and respective Circle Secretary.   It is urgent. Hence, please complete the task by 15th August 2024.

 Our Circle Secetary Com S. Sundarakrishnan wrote a strong letter now to Prinicipal CCA TN regarding delayed payment of pension to some pensioners for this month. Please see below for the copy of the letter.

 PENSION REVISION COURT CASE

The appeal filed by DOT in our pension revision case in Delhi High Court is coming for hearing today. DOT has filed an appeal against our Contempt case proceedings of Principal CAT Court Delhi. If the Delhi High Court declines to grant a stay against the Principal CAT Court contempt order, then DOT Secretary or any other Officer not below the rank of DIRECTOR has to appear in person before the PRINCIPAL CAT COURT on 13-8-24 to face the consequences as per PRINCIPAL CAT COURT ORDER. So, the outcome of the High Court New Delhi decision is closely watched by our association.
