STR Division Executive Committee meeting was held on 07-03-2018 at 1500 hours in Flower Bazaar Telephone Exchange. Com.A.Sugumaran presided over the meeting and Com.DSR conducted the events. First one minute silence was observed to the departed members of our division and other notable personalities.
This month our monthly meeting on 13th march will be celebrtated as International women's day. Our women candidates present in the meeting will be honoured. Smt.V.Latha / Medical Bills section Official, STR Chennai will be the chief Guest. Entire meeting and proceedings will be handled by women comrades on that day. 
Pension Adalat is to be conducted on 16/5/18 in the Hall of Inspiration, Chennai  2 at 1400 hours. Members who have given cases should be present on that day in the adalat, if not the officials simply pass on to the next item and they ignore the request of our association leaders to discuss that issue. All grievances should be given in the format given by the CCA authorities before 31st march a copy of the same may be given to our Divnl. secretary.
Our Divl. Secretary informed the house that he would be going to US by last week of April and would be back by August month. After elaborate discussions, the house came to the conclusion to conduct Annual General Body Meeting in the month of April.
Circle Secretary informed that Tamilnadu Circle Executive Committee meeting will be conducted in Pondicherry on 10th and 11th/April and Central Working Committee will be conducted in RGM TTC, Meenambakkam, chennai-27 on 16 and 17/April. Volunteers from our division are solicited to guide and assist the guests through out the CWC meeting . Accordingly nearly 10 members gave their names. He said that women comrades are also needed for smooth conduct of the CWC meeting and TN Circle is Hosting the CWC meeting. TN Circle Conference will be held in Vasavi Mahal Trichy-1 in the month of August 2018. Exact dates will be announced later. As  a novel and innovative way one day  workshop on Pension Rules will be conducted one day before the Pension adalat ie on 15-05-2018 in Chennai for all District Secretaries. Senior AOs of BSNL and retired  AOs of DOT will  take classes. venue and other details will be intimated later on.
20 members attended and took active part in discussions. 4 members are out of station and pleaded their inability to attend the meeting. Snacks and Tea were offered and Com DSR gave Vote of thanks.
