FREEZE OUR ANXIETY FOR SOME TIME

Some of our members are very restless. They suggest that we should demand freezing of our IDA also. Why?  If that is done it means we are treated as central government pensioners and that will justify our demand for pension revision!

There are many such actions by the government in the past treating us at par with central government pensioners. We have submitted detailed notes on it.   It is not lack of justification.  Communication Minister is not sympathetic to us.  The officers in DoT are negative.

If IDA up to June 2021 is frozen, how much you will lose?  It depends upon future increase in IDA.  Nobody can give accurate calculations. IDA increase of January, April, July and October of 2020, and, January and April of 2021 will be lost.  Six instalments in our case.  If you take the past six instalments of same period of 2019 and 2020, the loss will be 249.9% of your basic pension.

If your Basic pension is Rs 10000 you may lose Rs. 24990.  Say 25000.  If your BP is Rs. 20000, you may lose Rs. 50,000.

Even if you sacrifice that much,  will the Minister be kind enough to see justice in our demand?

If IDA is frozen the PSUs will be benefited in all cases except BSNL and MTNL. Some PSUs are profit earning; some others are in red.  DPE will not issue a general order to freeze. We cannot say what the Govt will do in our case.  Favours are given to private companies, in lakhs of cores. On the other hand, Government is taking away from the bowls of employees and pensioners

Our GS has advised to wait and see future action of the Government in our case.  But some comrades are very restless.   At this age, it is better to have some patience. Enjoy these peaceful Cororna days without tension please.  Peace of mind is happiness. … PSR
