Meeting with Hon. MP

Our Circle President and CHQ Asst.Treasurer Com V.Ramarao contacted Thiru N.Siva, Hon. MP and Chairman, Standing Committee, Ministry of Communications over phone yesterday (7^th) and sought an appointment.  He also briefed him about our issue of ‘Pension Revision’.

 

Hon MP asked him to come to Chennai Airport at 1200 noon on 8^th (today).  He was returning from Delhi.  Accordingly Com DG, CHQ VP and Ramarao met him in the Airport at 1300 hrs today and handed over the following memorandum. 

 

After going through the memorandum, he asked whether the rules were brought in 2021?  That was explained.  We mentioned about the reply given by Hon. MoC to his colleage Shri M Shanmugam on 21/6/22 and gave our view-points on the two issues.

 

Then we told him about our meeting with Hon. Minister on 25^th March 22 in which Hon. Minister opined that pay revision and pension revision cannot go together.  Hon MP asked which minister we met?  We told him that it was Hon. MoC Shri Aswini Vaishnaw.

 

He said that he would do the needful in this matter.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has reviewed the issue of outstanding CGHS dues of around Rs 1,400 crore and ordered officials to clear those within a month. Written By Press Trust Of India.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has reviewed the issue of outstanding CGHS dues of around Rs 1,400 crore and ordered officials to clear those within a month, official sources said.

According to officials, there are complaints of over 11 lakh bills pending for the last few months, forcing many empanelled hospitals to discontinue cashless treatment of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) beneficiaries.

At the three-hour-long review meeting on Monday, Mandaviya ordered the health secretary, the CGHS director and the CEO of the National Health Authority to present a detailed report on the matter and the solutions to it, a source said.

He instructed them to clear nine lakh pending CGHS bills within 15 days and repay all pending dues within a month. The health minister also ordered officials to increase the number of claim clearance officers immediately to clear the pendency, official sources said. 

 

 STR DN EXCECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING DECISIONS

The Executive Meeting of STR Division was held on the Afternoon of 28.06.2022 under the president ship of Com. A. Sugumaran Dist.President. 16 office bearers participated. Com.Sundarakrishnan welcomed all. This is the 3rd executive meeting. One minute silence was observed. President told that Circle conference will be held on 7th and 8th August and before that we have to conduct Dist conference. Dist.Secy enquired various Mandapams. All Mandapams charges Rs 1 lakh. Com.Muthialu, Kalidasan and Sundarakrishnan went and enquired. Finally, they identified that AC hall at Jeevana Jothi hall at Egmore is suitable. Bus facility from Egmore station, share auto from Egmore and Nungambakkam Station is available. Hall has the capacity of 180 to 200. Rent is Rs 10000 only. Executive has approved the proposal of  conducting the conference on 29th July at Jeevana Jothi hall from 10 Am for one day session. Decided to invite all the CHQ office bearers at Chennai, CP, CS, CT TN Circle, All CIRCLE OFFICE BEARERS at Chennai, CS Chennai TD, Joint CCA, Sr.GM STR, GM HR TNCO. Com.Ramanarayanan sent 3 demands 1.providing mask to all delegates at Salem Circle.   Will be taken care. 2.Migration to SAMPANN has to be stopped....Not only to Telecom Pensioner. This is the policy of Government for all departments both Central/State Govt. 3.Periodical Adalat will be conducted. Will be taken up with CCA through Circle Assn. Com.K.Muthialu.  and A Sugumaran  mentioned about the message sent by Com.Sethuraman. Com.A.Sugumaran told about our meeting with Pr.Commissioner Income TAx. They replied that Assn can not take up the issue. Issue differs with individual and affected individual has to appeal to CPPC. CHQ also wrote a letter to DOT. AS it is a software problem, combined catagories of leave period, decision from CBDT is awaited by CPPC Bangalore. A few of  our comrades got cleance and demand withdrawn. Executive decided Report of DIST.SECY and Audited Report of Treasurer should be completed and same will be discussed in the next Executive which is scheduled tentatively on 22nd July 2022. Executive proposed to conduct the next monthly meeting at Flower bazaar building as conducted earlier. Meeting ended with the Vote of Thanks by Com.Narasimman ADS.
