FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE CIRCLE EXECUTIVE at Thanjavur...

1.  LPD ISSUE...

      While understanding the stiff position of CCA  based on interpretation of Rules and appreciating the strenuous efforts by the Circle Secretary on the Issue, the Division Executive is of the opinion that continued efforts be made to solve the problem by approaching the concerned Authorities. The Division Executive thinks that resorting to legal remedy may be avoided as for as possible in the present circumstances.

2.  EXTRA - INCREMENT...

      The Division Executive records its Appreciations for winning the Case in the CAT. Yet it is understood that An Appeal is being made against the favourable judgement. In this connection, the Division Executive would like the Circle Executive to consider keeping the issue of extra-increment aside which is likely to be held up due to Appeal find ways to settle the monetary benefit that may accrue to the affected Pensioners, if 78.2% fixation is allowed as such.

3. PENSION REVISION...

     Our CHQ(AIBSNLPWA)  was the first to frame the demand for Pension Revision and made it an agenda for consideration by the Government and Others. We acknowledge with gratitude the great efforts of our CHQ in the past 4/5 years in framing the demand for Pension Revision and making the DOT/Govt to turn their attention on the issue in the light of already existing Rule-37A and annulment of 60:40 sharing of contribution and delinking to the extent of Payment of Pension by the Government. We have also approached the PB/CAT asking for Pension Revision as per 7 th CPC.

    The recent AIC at Vizag has resolved to demand Pension Revision as per 7th CPC on IDA and in the alternate, conversion of IDA Pension into CDA Pension for both Pre & Post 2017 Retirees.A three stage agitation Programmes were conducted as per our AIC, during  20th, December 2022 ,January 17th and 18th 2023  and on 8th February 2023.

    The General Secretary after his Delhi Visit in his Letter(30/3/23) has plainly put forth the current scenario...viz...

We understand that DOT may propose Pension Revision with 5 or 10 % and try to get the approval of the top in the near future. We are not very much particular about the quantum but we are particular about two aspects.

They are.... 

1)  Periodical Pension Revision..                          

2) No Pension Anomaly         

between Pre & Post 2017         Retirees.......   .                

 * Now a situation has emerged that fitment under CPC is not considered but Pension Revision is being pursued only on * *Percentage basis. 

    Herein We wish to convey that as Welfare Association, We have our limitations and the Pensioners are in Wait for Revision.

    The Division Executive is firm that whatever be the settlement & in whatever form it is arrived at, the same is mainly because of AIBSNLPWA and this fact should be made known to all.

    *In view of the foregoing, We urge the Circle Executive to impress upon the CHQ to forge unity amongst the Pensioners Associations and hasten the process of Pension Revision...      STR Division Chennai.
