STR DIVISON 12-9-17 MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES:
Proceedings of the September monthly meeting held on 12/9/2017

Shri A.Sugumaran,  President presided over the meeting.  Two minutes silence was observed as a mark of respect to late (1) A.Elumalai,  PM Retied. PM Maramalaim Exch  and  (2) A.V.S.   Mani, retd. CGM.Telecom.  Sri Sridharan read out the minutes of the previous monthly meeting and had the approval of GB.
In recognition of one year completion of the present  set of office bearers, a health camp lecture by Health above 60 Co. Ashok Nagar, Chennai  was arranged.  Shri Karthikeyan of the above said company gave a detailed lecture on the facilities extended to senior citizens of above 60 years of age.  He answered a volley of questions from the audience and clarified all doubts.  He informed that any senior citizen can contact his company for counselling at any time. Free First aid kit  box was  distributed to all members. 

Later Shri D.S.Ramalingam, Secretary read out the names of members whose birth day falling in September and extended birth day greetings.  He introduced new members who joined our Association in September.  He shared his interview with Jt. Controller of CCA to whom he made over 190 xerox copies of Aadhaar cards with PPO Numbers.  He said he had taken acknowledgement for the same  and pleaded his inability to inform individually the members whose xerox  copies of Aadhar cards were handed over to Pr. CCA office. Shri S.Ramanarayanan, Vice President intercepted in this connection  and suggested the names of those members can be uploaded in the web site or in the Circular.  He agreed with this point .  He was highly critical of the help and assistance given by the Pr. CCA Office.  Though Pensioners are permitted to have interviews with the officers every day, in practical this is not happening.   He informed about the Pension Adalat scheduled  to take place at Hall of Inspiration, Anna Road Exge. Campus, Dams Road, at 10:00 AM on 22nd September.  Members whose cases are pending may attend the adalat. He further explained in detail about the disbursement of MRA. Both with voucher and without voucher.  He informed all membes should furnish the following details for taking legal measures to get the merger of 78.2% w..e.f.1.1.2007.
1)    Name of the pensioner 2) Designation and date of entry at the time of first appointment 
3)    Date of retirement and in which cadre and from which office/Circle retired 4) PPO No and Aadhar Card No.

Shri A.Sugumaran, President lamented the attitude of some of the officers of Pr, CCA Office in settling the pension cases.   Every time the pensioner meets the officers of CCA office, without furnishing any tangible reply, the pensioner  is requested to give a representation once  again.  After  sending his representation and reminders only, the pensioner is personally calling on the officers. He requested those officers to mend their attitude reminding in their mind that they are also going to retire one day.   Some members narrated their horrible experience in visiting the Pr. CCA office  and the lethargic way their cases disposed.  

Shri D.Victor Raj desired to know the steps taken in the matter of disbursement of MRA. Shri i R.Govindarajan  praised the activites of the association. Shri Sundarakrishnan proposed vote of Thanks. 90. Members attended the meeting.
